Reducing gender disparity in higher education, particularly in science and engineering, necessitates targeted interventions starting from high school. Research indicates that male students exhibit a higher interest in STEM careers compared to their female counterparts. The project of “Reducing Gender Disparity in Higher Education in Science and Engineering from Highschool to Higher Education”, is a collaborative project between Ain Shams University and Cairo University in Egypt with Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. The project is funded through the Going Global Partnerships for Gender Equality by the British Council. The objectives of this project is to offer trainings, internships and workshops to increase the knowledge of high school students to the wider perspectives of the engineering, environmental science and dental sciences.
